John Choi: Hmmm.... well if you get the Expansion Set, you get both DLC's and that requires you to complete the Trial of the Sword which I still haven't completed it because IT'S HARD AS FUCK and you get the Champions' Ballad for the 2nd DLC and that gets you a damn Motorcycle that you can ride in the game after you complete that quest. Oh, and you get 4 extra shrines as well. Besides that, there's 120 (with the 2nd DLC) shrines for you to find, 900+ Korok Seeds to find, find more clothes for Link, the Tarrey Town and so much more. I actually beat the game 2 times and the 2nd times, I made sure that I found all the memory locations before fighting Ganon and that was awesome lol

65. Zachary Vinis: This is my opinion, but I can't really find any other track I can remember. I think this track is what this game's "Soundtrack" could've been like. Fully orchestrated, epic, goosebumpingly amazing. However, they only saved that for the final part of the game, which is very unfortunate, because I really loved the rest of the game besides the story. I truly think this is the best gameplay in any 3D Zelda ever.

Got intimidated by all the guardians and was gonna book it out of there until 1:24 hit me right in the ears and stuck around fighting lynels and taking down guardians to the music. 10/10

88. SuperSmashGamer: I always pull a full on assault on Hyrule Castle by showing up at the front gate and killing everything that I encounter outside and inside the castle. My favorite part of it is after the Guards Chamber, you get to fight 2 Lynels (A Blue-Maned Lynel, along with a White-Maned Lynel). I always destroy them with the Master Sword/Hylian Shield/Savage Lynel Bow combo, so this place is way too easy for me.

The chords used hint subtly at its traditional predecessor, and the result is absolutely beautiful. Bravo to the music team at Nintendo for producing yet another masterpiece!

But you feel its former glory within yourself, being the chosen hero, you can bring this castle and all of Hyrule to the peace and prosperity it once had. Taking my sweet ass time with over 300 hours getting every single chest and korok using the special edition strategy guide's atlas. I probably shouldn't have gotten the master sword prior to the divine beasts though because i'm overpowered now, but that's what I love about this game. You can do things in any order you want. The linear games were good but times are changing and we need the games to evolve and transform over time while keeping that charm that makes zelda unique. Personally the open world aspect should have been done long ago, but then we might have been too sophisticated to enjoy this game like we did. I hope nintendo goes in this direction with zelda from now on.

Both versions are masterful and so fitting for the environment/mood it is trying to create. I applaud the composer for all the careful arranging in this game that made the ambience come to life whether it was a boss fight or just running through a field.

Chad Snipes: In every Zelda game we worked tooth and nail to reach the final level and reach that sweet final boss known as Ganon or Ganondorf, but now there is an absolutely new light on this legendary tale; we simply don't want it to end. To reach the final boss in BOTW feels epic yet sad all the same because we loved the journey and the side quests tagged along. Honestly it felt refreshing all over again to "accidentally" delete my old save and start anew; nothing felt rehashed if anything it pushed me to find more content than I previously found before! Now I have once again completed all the main quests throughout the game, and you wanna know what I'm gonna do? Find that son of a biscuit eating White Lynel and have some fun pay-back with a load of surf and turf recipes at my disposal 😁 As for Ganon?... Eh he can wait his old cranky self in that castle for all I care. Sorry Princess!😜

205. archmdc925: This piece is literally a mash up of the main Legend of Zelda overworld theme, Ballad of the Wind Fish, The King's Theme/Hyrule Castle theme, somewhat palace sounds from Link's Adventure, and Ganon(dorf)'s organ theme in both Ocarina of Time and A Link To the Past/Triforce of the Gods. Tied together with the BotW piano/ambient sounds, this is an interesting music piece to say the least. Oddly enough, most of what I've named off is from Downfall Timeline. I didn't even know you can deflect Guardian beams, nor did I finish any of the divine beasts. Found all the Royal Guard gear too. Felt like a stealth mission the entire time. Definitely an incredible experience.
251. Joshua Hart: I think the soundtrack works great! The sparse overworld music and relatively unintrusive town themes make the parts of the game with more music feel all the more special. Even just walking into towns and stables feels good because of the music coming in, but then you have stuff like the themes for attacking the divine beasts and of course, Hyrule castle, that just feel so good not only because the tracks fit the situation so well but also because you’ve spent so much of the game with very little music.

ItsAsum: The part of the game that gave me the most feelings of “Alright, let’s do this”, was when, after getting all the divine beasts, memories, the master sword, the hylian shield, and some royal geaand getting over around 13 extra hearts (so around 16 hearts total) and an extra 3/4 wheel of stamina. At this I’ve explored most of Hyrule Castle both inside and out, but I decided not to use the shrine to enter hyrule castle, and use the legitimate front entrance. It was my favorite type of sky/lighting/time in the game (light blue sky, white lighting with the slightest bit of yellow, and around 10am), I open the door, use daruks protection against the first 2 decayed guardians, then went on my way. After shooting the first HUGE malice eye, I wandered beyond it, and shot the guardian turrets with ancient arrows, then made my way up the pathway more. Then I saw the view. I knew this was gonna be an awesome journey. The view along with the most grand/intense part of this theme playing, filled me with excitement, and determination. They nailed this theme. I kept thinking “just a little longer princess. Just keep him back a little longer” (I get way into games) I had the Master Sword, and all the beasts powers. I was ready. I was the damn Hero of Time. The music fit so perfectly. I was just fucking ready to obliterate this bitch. An hour later, I messaged my fiancé and told her “I did it...you’re safe. Ganon’s dead. I kicked his ass with my magic sword” (at one in the morning mind you.) these games are central to our relationship. Her engagement ring is Zelda themed. She is my princess and I am her Hero of Time. When she saw the message, she said “thank you my Hero, now rest. Your fight is over.” And I went to bed.

My first time going to HC, I was still relatively early in the game and had maybe 8 or 9 hearts and nothing to resist or effectively destroy the guardians. I couldn't afford to take a single hit, so I had to carefully plan my way through to reach that memory near Zelda's appartments, hide from every guardian and run for my life everytime one did spot me. Going through that challenge, while listening to this theme for the first time ever was one of the greatest experience I had with the Zelda series period.

461. Bilal Mohammad: The game has one incredibly good, interesting, ambient and chilling place to explore, and that was this castle. It's the masterpiece of the game, and the looming hook that keeps you invested, this theme is perfect. It's always visible, it's sad, it lonely, it's decrepit and a constant reminder of your failure as Zelda's Knight. It's rewarding, and I feel like the entire game should have felt like this, in the sense that, this is the level of intrigue I want in a level, dungeon, temple or shrine. I connected the most with this part of the game. It doesn't play like a standard dungeon, it's lived in, it's messy, it works on both a gameplay and story level, it's superb.

501. AntiTroll1000: I visited Hyrule Castle for the first time today after holding off on it for so long. I only went just to get my final memory from the photos to complete the Captured Memories main quest, and I know I still have a few things to go back for eventually: a piece of the royal guard gear, a cookbook (both for men in different stables who want them), and the Hylian shield (because I've had the Master Sword for at least the past month, and I need to get the Zelda franchise's other classic item before I finish this game). I've had the game since April, and I have done 76/120 shrines. Part of me wants to finish those prior to going for Calamity Ganon because part of me wants to get the classic green hat and tunic. I do know I have to finish this game at some point, and I will. However long that takes me to do, I have been enjoying the game since the start and will do so until I'm done.

549. Jeremiah McDowell: I think this is my favorite song in the entire game, simply because it's scored for full orchestra. I have nothing against the majority of the game's soundtrack, but the fact that it's pretty much just light piano most of the way through the game makes it just a little bit forgettable in my opinion. But when you enter the castle, and this swelling symphony rises up to knock you off your feet... that's when you know the sound devs knew exactly what they were doing.

Four Ancient Shields that made the guardians a joke. Nothing by Ancient Weapons from the akkala lab, the master sword, and Daruk's Stone Smasher. Walked in the front door, and smashed everything in my way. So. Damn. SATISFYING. Just walking up the path, wiping out everything between me and Ganon with the same ease that the Guardians had laid waste to me when I made the mistake of poking around castle town at five hearts. Didn;t even dignify the Lynels with a proper fight, just nailed them with trio of Ancient Arrows from Revali's Great Eagle Bow. All the while, all I could think was "I hope you're ready Ganon, you sonofabitch. You killed countless people. Murdered the champions and imprisoned their souls. Forced Zelda to seal herself away with you. Nearly killed me. Well now, it's time for revenge a hundred years coming." "I hope you're ready. Because I'm coming for you. And nothing in heaven, hell, or earth will save you from me." "FOR MIPHA! FOR DARUK! FOR URBOSA AND REVALI! FOR ZELDA! BUT MOST OF ALL, FOR HYRULE, I WILL CUT YOU DOWN ONCE AND FOR ALL!"

In this soundtrack, there are so many bits and pieces of music from prior Zelda games. That in itself gives the music a boost to the next level when it's from a franchise like LoZ. But what they did was tell a hidden story within the music. They told the story of the Princess, the Knight and the Evil's everlasting battles. They tell of the ones that came before, the result of that, and what's currently at stake.
