As soon I first arrived to Jabberwock Island in Danganronpa 2, I kind of wondered how the music could retain a similar style to the first game, but in an Island setting. The question was almost immediately answered when I first heard Beautiful Ruin. I thought that it sounds like a perfect balance between a nice relaxing tune to accompany a beautiful island, while still maintaining that unique Danganronpa feel. The kind of feeling which makes you anxious that someones about to be killed. Overall I really wanted to make a composition out of it purely because I remember loving the original so much while exploring the island. I should probably add that Jabberwock island is one of my favourite environments in any video game. It has so much depth and originality that it perfectly suits a murder mystery.

If there's any game I could erase from my memory and play again fresh, it would have to be Danganronpa 2. Not only for the rush and thrill of solving murders (which I admit I get highly engaged in - even take out a piece of paper to take notes sometimes), but also for the pure amazement of exploring Jabberwock Island to the wonderful music of Beautiful Ruin... The name of which pretty much perfectly sums up the Island and the series as a whole.
